Hej!
I'm Becky Waterton, the new editor of The Local Denmark. I joined The Local's Swedish site in 2021 (I'm based just over the Øresund strait in Malmø), and have now hopped over to our Danish site to fill the shoes of outgoing editor Michael Barrett. You might already have seen my byline on some of our election coverage ‒ I swapped sites the day before the election and have written articles for the Danish site in the past.
I studied Danish at university and did a masters degree in Copenhagen, where I lived for a few years before I met my Swedish husband. I speak Danish on a daily basis and regularly pop over to Copenhagen to visit friends, museums and just enjoy the city, and am really looking forward to getting to know our readers in Denmark.
