MobilePay’s new wishlist feature allows users to share wish lists with family and friends, who can reserve items to prevent duplicate gifts.
The new feature became available Wednesday morning and can also be used in Norway, Sweden and Finland, the company behind the app, Vipps MobilePay, said in a press statement.

“This new feature makes it easier for users to get what they want for Christmas,” MobilePay’s head of operations in Denmark Anette Bøje said in the statement.
“You can easily view wish lists from family and friends, share your own, and pay within the app, eliminating the need for multiple apps,” she said.
To use the function, look for the option "Ønskelister" or "Wish lists" under the "Mig" or "Me" tab in your app (depending on whether it is set to Danish or English). The app also enables group presents with a function allowing the cost of a gift to be split.
MobilePay’s wish list feature is free to use.
Wish lists can be shared between MobilePay in Denmark and Finland and its sister app Vipps in Norway and Sweden. The two apps have more than 12 million users across the four Nordic countries, according to the press statement.
MobilePay and Vipps merged to form Vipps MobilePay in 2022, with users moved to a shared platform this year.
Users of the app in Denmark can now transfer money to Norway, Sweden and Finland using MobilePay, although the transaction costs a fee of 4 percent of the transfer amount.
The new feature has been available in the app since 8:30am on Wednesday, although some users may need to update the app to access it.
