Denmark named in new Isis propaganda video

A second video featuring British hostage John Cantlie has been released by the jihadist group and this one mentions Denmark's military involvement in Iraq.
The terrorist organisation Islamic State, or Isis, has released a new propaganda video featuring captured British journalist John Cantlie in which Denmark is specifically named.
In the video, which The Local will not post here, Cantlie appears to be reading off of a script as he criticises the West’s approach to dealing with Isis.
“Western governments are hastily marching towards all out war in Iraq and Syria without paying any heed to the lessons of the recent past,” Cantlie says.
While much of Cantlie’s remarks focus on the “perplexed” policies of the United States, which on early Tuesday launched air strikes against Isis in Syria, the video is the first from Isis to mention Denmark.
“Everyone now is getting involved. Denmark and France have sent air power. Britain is arming the Kurds. Iran is sending troops. Contractors are being sought in Iraq. Even [Syrian president] Bashar al-Assad, until earlier this year the most hated and villianised tyrant in the Arab world, is being approached for permission to enter Syria,” Cantlie reads.
The Danish parliament in August overwhelming approved a military contribution to the fight against Isis in northern Iraq. Denmark committed a Hercules C-130J military aircraft carrier to deliver weapons, ammunition and other military goods to the Iraqi and Kurdish forces fighting against Isis.
Additionally, Denmark committed to joining the US and eight other Nato countries in a ‘core coalition’ against the jihadist militants.
Isis’s video is the second propaganda piece released by the group to feature Cantlie and it concludes with the prisoner saying “join me again for the next programme”.
