Ten beautiful Danish towns you've never heard of
Going beyond the big cities like Copenhagen, Aarhus and Odense, we delve deeper into the Danish hinterland to find some of its undiscovered gems. From quaint medieval towns to breathtaking natural beauty, Denmark's got it all.
Skagen is Denmark’s northernmost town, perched on a narrow peninsula where the Kattegat Sea and the Skagerrak strait meet. It originally became popular among Danish impressionist artists who sought to capture the particular shade of light that is said to be unique to the region, and Danes still come in droves every year to see it for themselves and to pose for the requisite photo with one foot in each body of water.
