Five things to look out for at Copenhagen Fashion Week

Five things to look out for at Copenhagen Fashion Week

❮ ❯

In the past we’ve covered lots of womenswear, but this season we’re looking forward to spicing it

up with some menswear shows like Jean//Phillip and Han Kjøbenhavn. And please note: just

because something is labeled menswear doesn’t mean women can’t wear it too. Give us those
bomber jackets!Photo: Photo: Paw Gissel for Stalker Magazine
It’s always wonderful to see up-and-coming designers. This time, we’re going right to the source

with TEKO Design + Business Academy’s runway show. We’re looking forward to exciting,

architectural and whimsical collections from the next generation of Copenhagen fashion!Photo: Photo: Dream Foundation
One reason we continue to love Copenhagen Fashion Week above other fashion weeks is that

there’s still a wonderful element of artistic design, rather than only commercial. Shows like Henrik

Vibskov and Barbara i Gongini make sure the tradition survives with avant garde clothes and runway production that combines the strange and the beautiful.Photo: Josef Brock for Scandinavia Standard
Copenhagen really knows how to have a city-wide festival. We love that there are so many free and

open events celebrating Copenhagen Fashion Week. Have your pick of films, exhibits and

champagne evenings in your favorite shops. You can see our top choices for the festival over on scandinaviastandard.com.Photo: Danish Fashion Institute
Fashion week includes more than clothes – jewellery design is part of it, too! We can’t wait to see all the different ways Scandinavian design is being interpreted by goldsmiths and jewellery makers. The Jewellery Room is a great way to see a diverse array of brands in one place.Photo: Danish Fashion Institute
