Liberal Alliance leader Anders Samuelsen has lit up Danish Facebook with a bottle-flipping video.

Lest one believe that Anders Samuelsen’s only talents are fighting for the wealthiest Danes or threatening to topple the government, the Liberal Alliance leader recently posted a video to Facebook showing that he has two additional skills: bottle-flipping and a solid sense of humour.

Samuelsen, who is seen as the biggest threat to PM Lars Løkke Rasmussen’s government, may have been a bit late in embracing the viral trend of filming one’s flipping half-full water bottles but his skills hold up pretty well.

Set to a hip-hop soundtrack, the short video shows Samuelsen cheesing it up for the camera as he lands one perfect bottle flip after the other in various locations around his house.

The 30-second clip, posted with the simple line “there went another Sunday”, was a big hit among Facebook users, racking up over one million views across his personal and official Facebook pages and attracting over 10,000 comments.

“Finally, a politician who uses his time wisely. I love it,” wrote one commenter.

“The king of swag and Denmark’s next prime minister – I love this man,” wrote another.

"I've now seen the light and will give all of my support to LA," another chimed in.

Obviously, this being social media, not everyone had nice things to say.

“If only you were as good at politics as you are at throwing a bottle,” one man wrote.

“Just keep tossing things around, that way we don’t have to listen to your rubbish in parliament,” another added.

“This is the best thing Anders Sameulsen has ever done for Denmark,” wrote another.
