Danish fans married to Star Wars theme
A Danish couple are such extreme fans that they decided to get married to a Star Wars theme.
Anna Toftdahl Olesen and Kira Bakholm Axelsen walked up the aisle to the love song from ‘Star Wars Attack of the Clones’, and took many of their wedding photos holding light sabers.
Toftdahl Olesen told Danish state broadcaster DR that the couple had met during a Star Wars live role playing game where they had played the lovers Padmé Amidala and Anakin Skywalker.
“Star Wars is something that my wife and I have together,” Toftdahl Olesen told Danish state broadcaster DR. “We met each other through Star Wars, when were were role-playing. Our characters were in love with each other, so we fell in love too.”
Toftdahl Olesen said she had considered going up the aisle in the brown tunic she wore during the role-playing but eventually plumped for more traditional wedding attire.
“We were ready to go, but it couldn’t all be about Star Wars,” she said.
