Shake off the blues brought on by the last couple days because sunshine and temperatures approaching 30C are on their way.

If there is one thing better than a summer forecast calling for high temperatures and sunny skies, it’s a forecast calling for high temps and sunny skies on the weekend.

The Danish Meteorology Institute (DMI) has given Denmark just that, promising that the past couple days of rain and overcast skies will be replaced by sun and warmth.

“I’ve got to say it looks promising. From the weekend and through to Monday we will most likely have a heat wave with temperatures around 27-28 degrees,” DMI’s Mogens Rønnebæk told BT. “The summer weather is coming back in full force.”

By next week we may even see Denmark’s hottest day of the year, as DMI is predicting temperatures over 30C. The mercury would only need to reach 30.2C to top the hitherto highest temperature of the year
